HOUSTON (Houston Business Journal) – Foreclosures in Texas last month were up 22 percent over January 2010, according to a report released yesterday by RealtyTrac.
Texas had a total of 14,897 foreclosure filings last month. That was about 33.5 percent more than in December 2010 and represented about one in every 653 homes.

Freddie Mac mandates change to affect foreclosure process
The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) announced that FNMA and FreddieMac procedures for handling past due mortgages line up with one another.
