ARANSAS PASS (Corpus Christi Caller Times) – Work has begun on Redfish Bay Boathouse, the first major project at Aransas Pass’ Conn Brown Harbor since the decline of the shrimping industry.
For years, efforts have been made to jump-start harbor development. Last February, the city council approved a 25-year lease for the boathouse.
Developer Grant Erickson was brought on for the project, which will hold 277 boats up to 45 feet long. Construction is expected to take six months to a year.
