Most experts, both nationally and locally, project 2015 to continue to be a sellers market in Austin, with continued improvement in the markets throughout Texas and the USA. Particularly the below $500,000 level, although we’ll probably see a bit of a slowing down in those homes above that level.
Now that building new homes is back in full swing, we’re going to see more new home competition in Buda, Kyle, Lake Travis, Dripping Springs, Cedar Park, Leander, Round Rock, Taylor, Hutto, and so on.
Those areas closer-in are going to still be short on inventory and hot to hotter! Currently there are more scrape-offs and new construction going on downtown than I’ve seen is many years, if ever.
